About me
Biography
Daphne Sardis is a New Jersey-based filmmaker, writer, and actor. Her most recent short film credits include TUNE OUT (Writer/Director), Ioanna (Writer/Director) and Diary of a Simpy Kid: The Documentary (Director). She is a recent graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Filmmaking and English. Her most recent theatre credits include Cabaret (Emcee), Rock of Ages (Franz), Company (Bobby), 9 to 5 (Director), American Idiot (St. Jimmy), Into the Woods (The Witch), Hair (Claude), and tick, Tick... BOOM! (Jon).
artistic statement
"My goal is to create content that is original and thought-provoking. Whether creating narrative or documentary works, I am always searching for authenticity. I am most interested in exploring themes surrounding religion, grief, and the origins of inspiration. Utilizing my skills to shed light on the talents of my peers, collaborators, and subjects is of the utmost priority. In every project, I am committed to creating ethically made content that embraces diversity and inclusion in every regard. I hope to continue my mission of creating quality work that showcases a variety of lived experiences."
